Teaching methodologies may change but the value system remains the same. This is what the Chairman of My Home Group, under which the Meru International School was founded, always believed. This is why he decided to run the school with old values but new and updated methodologies.
Meru International School promises parents that their children will learn in a happy and positive environment where emotional quotient takes precedence over intelligence quotient. The school prepares children to discover their prowess and to achieve success in things they love doing. Maybe this is why many parents of the school’s students have nothing but nice things to say about its environment.

Curriculum
Meru International School is affiliated to both, CBSE and Cambridge (CAIE) boards. However, it offers CBSE only for grades 6 and up. Children may choose Cambridge from pre-primary till grade 10. Below are specifics about the curriculum, class-wise:
- International Kindergarten (IK): IK at Meru promises fun-filled learning experiences through multiple activities such as performing arts, physical activity, fine arts, and more. Children develop social skills, problem-solving skills, communication skills, decision-making, and much more during their early childhood.
- Primary school (PSP): The primary school program gives children the opportunity to discover their talents. The curriculum includes numeracy, literacy, environmental sciences, personal; social; & physical education, and arts.
- Middle and high school: It is when children enter middle school that the school presents them with a curricular choice. They may pick CBSE or Cambridge based on their compatibility. Both the curricula offer global exposure and the school has a proven track record in both. High school is a progression of middle school where children delve deeper into the concepts they learn in their previous years.
Co-curricular activities are interspersed with the curriculum at all ages. Children can join clubs at school and learn new skills and/or engage in various activities that help their creativity shine.

Infrastructure
Yes, the school has a large campus but what are the amenities it offers to its students? You are going to find out:
Classrooms
All classrooms are technology-driven, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Meru also maintains a small teacher-student ratio to encourage personalized learning. It employs multiple new learning methodologies from time to time to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field of education.
Laboratories
CBSE and IGCSE, both give a lot of importance to experiential learning. Thus, it is obvious for Meru to have fully-furnished science, math, language, ICT, and computer laboratories.
Library
Books are every child’s best friends because they open up a world of imagination and possibilities. The library at Meru has a plethora of books for students to read during their Library period or free time.
Playground
Physical development and fitness are just as vital as academics and that is why Meru has a large playground with facilities for various popular sports. The school also has a sports education program that ensures that every child gets out there and plays!
Co-curricular activities
Activity-based learning is a way of life at Meru. Value education, life skills programs, and interactive club groups keep children on their toes and always engaged. Activities are a part of learning itself and thus, play a crucial role in child development right from day one.
Academics
You must have noticed through the article that activity always keeps coming up. This is because, as mentioned in the beginning, the school works hard to build a strong emotional quotient. This can only come when children are involved and engaged in their lessons.
Teachers are trained to incorporate experimentation, projects, activities, and play into their lessons. They update their methodologies with advancements so that children are always at par with the world. Assessments and examinations are conducted according to the national and international boards but the lessons are very interactive and wholesome.
If your focus is on all-round development and not just academia, Meru International School will definitely impress you. Don’t ignore it!
