I am a parent of two children. My children joined RV in 2018, younger one in 2nd grade and the elder one in 6th grade. I did all my analysis before coming from pudukkottai to chennai, regarding the schools in sholinganallur, I chose few schools among one is RV due to its closest proximity to my husband’s office too. In and Around Sholinganallur RV is the oldest CBSE school with recognition, even now.
The main reason I chose this school is, the reason behind the start of this school is Tsunami. Please check other information in their website. Secondly, the Correspondent Mrs. Lalitha Chandrasekaran. before starting this school she was working in DAV Gopalapuram as a prinicipal. Hence I liked the culture of Ramana School and its teachers. Thirdly, She is down to earth. You can’t meet the correspondent of schools in Chennai, even you request, but when I visited the school premises for my sons entrance exam, we have been taken to the correspondent room immediately and there were two ladies sitting in correspondents place, this is a rare seen where most of us dont like to sit equal with our staffs when we are the key person. As I have already seen her photo in the website, I was aware who is the correspondent. The other woman was prinicipal. I admired the way she (correspondent) corrected my sons mistakes in his entrance paper.
Finally I selected RV as they were the one who was not fond of getting admissions and ready to accept and portray my son how he is. (This was not the case with the other schools where both my children got selected and was holding confirmed seats of two schools, where they praised, appreciated, celebrated by son and daughter for performing best in entrance. But to praise them high, they didnt do much, other than just completing the entrance well. Moreover the question paper was too silly which helped them to score more. So there is no point is appreciating that much. More over we were not allowed to meet the correspondent too, and their main aim was to get two of my children gets admitted in their school.)
I suggest RV to parents who search for a culturally decent and ethichally effective CBSE school in sholinganallur.
