Sanskriti school – incorporating social values with education.

A school that provides a stimulating, purposeful, cheerful, and safe environment enabling children to develop academically and socially is imperative in their formative years. Sanskriti school prioritizes the same as its primary objective, considering that each student is a unique individual and demands individual attention.

What started in 1996 as an enterprise of the Civil Services Society is now open to all students including a 25% reservation for the economically weaker section of the society. With a mission to provide the right stimulus for the holistic development of the child, their education system is based on the four tenants: Universal values, excellence in all things, global understanding, and service to humanity. With a counseling department, building competencies in personal, social, developmental, Career, and Educational areas are given precedence.

A public sector, non-profit organization, Sanskriti school has over 2500 students from varied backgrounds, thereby providing maximum social exposure.

    Curriculum

Sanskriti school is affiliated to the CBSE board and offers education starting from Pre-primary to Grade 12. Their curriculum is combined with experiential learning thereby nurturing students to achieve holistic development. It is bifurcated into four levels respectively:

    • Pre-primary: Early Childhood Development – At a young age, cognitive development, muscular flexibility, and increased social time are imperative for a child to be equipped with tools to build a base for future academic rigor, Physical fitness, and emotional quotient. At Sanskriti school, an activity-based approach to learning makes their curriculum holistic and child-centric. Hands-on activities, and experiments like cooking without fire, music, and dance provide the child with opportunities to maximize development.
    • Junior school – Ranging from Grade 1-5, the junior school curriculum is child-centered and activity based so that learning is made fun and enjoyable to cater to the curious minds at that age. Grades 1-3 conduct no examination and instead focus on periodic assignments to give a child enough independence to excel at their own pace.
    • Middle school – Grades 6-8 comprise the middle school years. Classroom teaching is supplemented with theatre activities, hands-on projects, and technology ( Google Chromebooks). Field trips and the Life Skill program nurture the students to be well-equipped with the necessary set of skills needed to establish a position in the competitive world. The mental health program is offered which through the conduction of workshops provides students the emotional space to stay confident, and happy members of society.
    • Senior school – Ranging from Grade 8 – 12, Innovative and effective teaching methodologies are used by teachers in Senior school with a focus on constantly changing educational pedagogy which enhances academic development. Instituting a class teacher’s interactive period every morning is used to ensure interpersonal communication and honing of necessary skills to make the students excel not only in academics but also in life.

Learning Centre, an important part of the curriculum comprises Junior LC ( Classes Nursery to 6) and Senior LC ( Classes 7-9). Focussing on a holistic curriculum that not only addresses concerns related to academics, socio-emotional, physio-motor, speech, and linguistic areas but also in developing pre-vocational skills of the child to keep pace with the formal system of education, it grooms students to excel both in Academics and co-curricular fields.

    Admission process and Fees

The admission process requires parents to follow up with a Common Registration Form. Applications for admission to only those classes will be considered where there are vacant seats available. If there is no vacancy, the application will be filed and processed as and when there is a vacant seat available.
