    I had a negative experience with the school, which led me to leave a 1-star rating. However, upon checking the reviews, I noticed that my 1-star rating did not appear. As a result, I’m considering giving a 5-star rating instead, just so my feedback is visible. Dear Parents and Guardians, I felt compelled to share my recent experience with ORCHIDS The international school to raise awareness and caution regarding some concerning issues. All of a sudden, I noticed an influx of 5-star ratings and positive reviews about the school. However, I cannot help but suspect that these reviews might be fake, as my own experience has been far from positive. During the admission process, I was given numerous false promises, and now that my child is admitted, it has become challenging to locate the person I originally dealt with. The management seems to dismiss these concerns, attributing them to the marketing team’s mistakes and claiming that they are unaware of the “real face” of the school. It’s been a month since my child’s admission, and yet, I still have no information about their class teacher. The school’s transport services have been poor, and communication has been lacking. The reviews that are currently circulating, praising the school highly, stand in stark contrast to the reality I am facing. I urge all parents and guardians to be cautious of the recent 5-star reviews and to consider the authenticity of the feedback provided. It is essential to thoroughly research any institution before making a decision about your child’s education. I strongly believe that my suspicion is 100% correct – there are numerous fake reviews being posted. One particular individual left a glowing review for the Manapakkam branch, claiming it to be the best school, while on the same day, they left an identical review for the New Delhi branch, also declaring it as the best school. This inconsistency raises serious doubts about the authenticity of these reviews. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that more than 12 reviews share this suspicious pattern. It is evident that these reviews are an attempt to mislead parents and guardians seeking genuine feedback about the school. I implore all of you to be cautious and not fall for this deceptive trap. It is disheartening to see such dishonest practices. As you can see, the same person has left identical 5-star ratings for different branches of the school on the same day. This pattern is highly suspicious and indicates a potential attempt to manipulate the school’s reputation through deceptive means. As a parent who cares deeply about the education and well-being of my child, I find this situation deeply troubling. Such practices undermine trust in the school and can have a significant impact on parents’ confidence in making decisions about their children’s education.

    Sishya was established in 1972 and in the year 1986, it became a full-fledged higher secondary school. It is a Christian Minority school that offers both ICSE and ISC. Students start their educational journey through an activity-based approach that encourages curiosity. Until grade 6, this approach continues.     I used to go here as a kid, 2009-2014. Honestly, 2009-2014 were the best years of my life, and the best times in general. My time at this school was so nostalgic. Sishya is a very well funded school; they’ve got a nice canteen (how’s Rajesh doing btw?), a sizeable amount of classrooms and good grounds, and many events. School camp 2013 is one of those things I’ll never forget; watching Despicable Me 2 and Chennai Express on a big screen when they first came out. They used to have a book fair, a fete, an annual dance that the kids used to prepare for (we used to love skipping classes for that) and some nice theatre productions. Eh, maybe I’m just taking away the kiddy stuff from there because I was a kid when I used to go there. Anyway, so the teachers were strict (watch out!). If you misbehave, they send you out of class. Sometimes they yell at you. And I don’t know if that was the norm in India. I’m pretty sure it was; may still be. A lot of the people that used to go and still go to this school are filthy rich (we had occasional visits from Thalapathi and other famous people like Prakash Raj and all that). People used to queue up for autographs and stuff. Anyway, enough of my rant. Sishya was my childhood.

    My daughter studied Class XI and XII in the Humanities stream. The best life-changing experience. Thanks to the High Quality Management and Staff. Students are treated with respect. The teaching methods are wholesome kindling their intellectual curiosity and love for life-long learning. The heritage feel of the school I felt as a parents is memorable. Well-defined academic calendar and planned events. Every event was relevant and was highly inspiring and elevating. Everything was planned and nothing ad hoc. Staff and students left school by 3pm. No unnecessary staying back. Only open house on just two Saturdays in the whole year. Neat 5 days working. A small canteen. Good playground. Reasonable fees. Contrary to the popular assumption, the school caters to middle class as well. There is both diversity and inclusion in the classrooms. Parents are well-informed and no scope for panic.     SMA should be ranked as the best school in Chennai for discipline, these negative reviews on discipline are paid by miscreants, just to defame the school, Such people don’t have the guts to come in person to report the incidents, but like cowards, literally cowards, post such reviews on the internet… Since it’s a Christian school, they just wanna shut down, by such useless and lame reasons. Even I’m a michaelite, proudly I same I’m a michaelite, and such indiscipline incident has occurred nor will occur in future.
